The Church of San Rocco and San Francesco di Paola is a historic sanctuary in Pizzo, located near the northern edge of the town’s historical center. It stands close to the Church of Purgatory and preserves one of the most important religious traditions of the local community. The sanctuary is dedicated to San Rocco, traditionally invoked against plague and contagious diseases, and to San Francesco di Paola, the Calabrian saint who founded the Order of Minims.
