    Spoleto Festival dei Due Mondi 2020

    The 63rd edition of the Spoleto Festival dei Due Mondi (Festival of the Two Worlds) will take place between June 26 and July 12, 2020, in Spoleto. The renowned international event of music, art and culture is held every year, in Spoleto, since 1958.   SHORT HISTORY The festival was created in 1958, in Spoleto, by the Italian-American composer and librettist Gian Carlo Menotti. He chose Spoleto due to the beautiful historical center of the town, for the presence of the two theaters, Teatro Nuovo and Teatro Caio Melisso, and for the Piazza del Duomo, a beautiful open-air theater suitable for an event of such magnitude. In 1962, the exhibition Sculpture in the city took place, one of the first major events of the festival. After the festival, some of the works were donated to the town, including the Teodelapio made by Alexander Calder. Starting with the mid-nineties and until 2007, the artistic director of the festival was the adopted son of Gian Carlo Menotti, Francis Menotti. In autumn 2007, the minister of cultural heritage, Francesco Rutelli, appointed Giorgio Ferrara as the artistic director of the festival and assigned him the task of relaunching the event.     Umbria Jazz Festival 2020

    Umbria Jazz Festival, one of the most popular jazz festivals in the world, will take place between 10 and 19 of July, 2020, in Perugia.   THE FESTIVAL The first edition of the festival was held in 1973. Since then, every year, during in the month of July, Perugia hosts concerts of famous jazz players from around the world. In recent years, Umbria Jazz Festival also opened its doors to other musical genres. Some of the best artists who have taken part in Umbria Jazz Festival are B.B.     Lenny Kravitz – Here to Love Tour 2020

    The American singer Lenny Kravitz will perform on Friday, July 10, 2020, at the Arena Santa Giuliana, in Perugia, as part of his Here to Love tour. The concert is one of the main events of Umbria Jazz Festival 2020.   THE ARTIST Kravitz’s debut album, Let Love Rule, was released in 1989. Then, in 1991, Mama Said was released, followed by Are You Gonna Go My Way in 1993, Circus in 1995, 5 in 1998, Lenny in 2001, Baptism in 2004, It Is Time for a Love Revolution in 2008, Black and White America in 2011 and Strut in 2014. In September 2018, he released his 11th studio album, Raise Vibration, and started his world tour with the same name. To date, Lenny Kravitz released 11 studio albums, one greatest hits compilation, four box set compilation albums, two extended plays, 58 singles and eight video albums.
