Milano Summer Festival is a music festival taking place every year, usually in June and July, in Milano. The festival brings to Milan some of the best-known artists of different music genres, spanning from rock to electronic dance music, jazz, blues, heavy metal and much more. Of the artists who performed in 2018, we can mention Marilyn Manson, Carlos Santana, Martin Garrix, Iron Maiden, Alice in Chains, The Chemical Brothers, Alanis Morissette and Robert Plant. MILANO SUMMER FESTIVAL 2019 will begin earlier than usual. The first name announced for the 2019 edition is Metallica, who will play on May 8, at the Ippodromo Snai – San Siro.
Milano Rocks is a music festival which will take place on the last weekend of August, in 2019, at the AREA EXPO Experience, in Milan. The first edition of the festival took place in 2018, with a lineup which included names like Franz Ferdinand, Imagine Dragons, The National, Thirty Seconds To Mars and many more. The English indie rock band Florence + The Machine will perform on Friday, August 30, 2019, at the Milano Rocks Festival 2019, in Milan, as part of their High as Hope tour. THE BAND Florence and the Machine was formed in 2007, in London, and it consists of vocalist Florence Welch, keyboardist Isabella Summers and a collaboration of other musicians. Their debut studio album, Lungs, was released on July 2009. The bands’s second studio album, Ceremonials, was released in October 2011, and their third album, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, was released on June 2015. The band’s fourth album, High as Hope, was released on June 2018.
