    Milano Summer Festival 2020 will take place during the months of June and July, 2020, at the San Siro Racetrack (Ippodromo Snai – San Siro), in Milan.   THE FESTIVAL The festival brings to Milan some of the best-known artists of different music genres, spanning from rock to electronic dance music, jazz, blues, heavy metal and much more. Of the artists who performed in 2018, we can mention Marilyn Manson, Carlos Santana, Martin Garrix, Iron Maiden, Alice in Chains, The Chemical Brothers, Alanis Morissette and Robert Plant. In 2019, among others, Metallica, KISS and Ben Harper performed at the festival.   THE LINEUP So far, the artists announced for the 2020 edition of the Milano Summer Festival are: June 10: Green Day, Weezer July 7: Faith No More July 9: Thom Yorke July 10: The Script   THE VENUE The San Siro Racetrack, dating back to the 1920s and renovated in 1975, can be considered a monument of national interest.     Green Day – Hella Mega Tour 2020

    Green Day will perform on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at the Ippodromo Snai – San Siro, in Milan, as part of the Milano Summer Festival 2020.   THE BAND Green Day was formed in 1986 by lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist Mike Dirnt. In 1990, the band co-opted the drummer Tré Cool. The band released their debut album, 39/Smooth, in 1990, and their second album, Kerplunk, in 1991. Their third album, Dookie, was released in 1994 and it was a breakout success, selling over 20 million copies worldwide. The band’s fourth album, Insomniac, was released in 1995, and their fifth album, Nimrod, in 1997. Their sixth album, Warning, was released in 2000, and the band’s seventh studio album, American Idiot, in 2004. The band’s eighth studio album, 21st Century Breakdown, followed in 2009.     Faith No More – European Tour 2020

    The American rock band Faith No More will perform on Monday, July 6, 2020, at the Ippodromo Snai – San Siro, in Milan, as part of the Milano Summer Festival 2020.   THE BAND Faith No More was formed in 1979, in San Francisco, California. Over time, the band underwent several lineup changes, the current lineup consisting of bassist Billy Gould, keyboardist/rhythm guitarist Roddy Bottum, drummer Mike Bordin, lead guitarist Jon Hudson and vocalist/lyricist Mike Patton. Between 1985 and 1997, the band released six studio albums, including best-selling records The Real Thing in 1989 and Angel Dust in 1992.     Thom Yorke – Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes Tour 2020

    The English singer Thom Yorke will perform on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at the Ippodromo Snai – San Siro, in Milan, as part of the Milano Summer Festival 2020.   THE ARTIST Thom Yorke is known as the vocalist and main songwriter of the rock band Radiohead. A multi-instrumentalist, he also plays guitar and keyboards. Along with the other members of Radiohead, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. Yorke’s debut solo album, The Eraser, was released in 2006.     The Script – Sunset & Full Moons Tour 2020

    The Script will perform on Friday, July 10, 2020, at the Ippodromo Snai – San Siro, in Milan, as part of the Milano Summer Festival 2020.   THE BAND The Script is an Irish rock band formed in 2007, in Dublin, which consists of lead vocalist and keyboardist Daniel O’Donoghue, lead guitarist Mark Sheehan and drummer and bassist Glen Power. The band released its eponymous debut album in 2008. Their second album, Science & Faith, was released in 2010, their third, #3, in 2012, and the band’s fourth album, No Sound Without Silence, in 2014.
